Dr. Yamashina is Executive Vice President at NEC Corporation. Currently responsible for the management of Safer Cities business as Executive Vice President and Global Head of Safety for NEC Corporation, and Chairman of NPS. He has a PhD in Engineering from the Graduate School of the Tokyo Institute of Technology and is a fellow of the IEEE.
Since joining NEC in July 2014 as COO & SVP at NEC Europe Ltd., Mr. Nakatsu has been responsible for European operations, business support functions and M&A for EMEA region. Prior to joining NEC, he was retained by private equities or strategic investors in CEO or CFO roles and made their portfolio companies, in several sectors, return to growth. He played key roles also at EDS Japan (now an HP company) and Mitsui & Co., Ltd. (a trading and investment firm conducting large scale of business globally) He holds an MBA from The University of Chicago, Graduate School of Business.
Stephen joined as Chief Executive Officer of Northgate Public Services in September 2016. He is responsible for the company’s overall strategic development and has a considerable track record of growing and transforming businesses with particular expertise in software and services domains. He began his career in the British Army as a commissioned officer and studied electrical engineering at Cranfield University.
Alan O’Reilly is Chief Financial Officer for Northgate Public Services. He is responsible for providing financial and business leadership for the company and for helping to determine and deliver the company strategy. Alan joined NPS in November 2016 from GC Aesthetics and has extensive international experience in senior finance roles in software & technology companies in Asia, the United States, United Kingdom and Europe over a 15 year period across a range of growing businesses.
David leads the TMT sector team. He has been involved in numerous transactions, including Allegro, Aprovia, CPA Global, Eutelsat, HEG, MediMedia, Northgate Public Services, Springer, Ufinet, Visma and Ziggo. David has a BA in Natural Sciences from Cambridge University and is a Chartered Accountant. He joined Cinven in 1996.
Responsible for NEC’s global M&A strategies and execution. Prior to joining NEC, Tomoki was a founding member of Japan Industrial Solutions Co, Ltd, a Japanese private equity fund management company, and served as Chief Investment Officer and a board member. Prior to Japan Industrial Solutions, Tomoki was Managing Director and the co-head of the principal investment business of Morgan Stanley Japan. Tomoki holds an MBA from University of Chicago, Graduate School of Business.
Toshiya Matsuki serves as Executive Vice President and Vice President of Global Business Unit at NEC Corporation since 2018. He is primarily responsible for strengthening NEC’s focus on the global market and overseeing deployment of Solutions for Society leveraging information and communications technology. Makoto Shota is Chief Financial Controller directly reporting to Dr. Yamashina, responsible for the global-wide Safer Cities business with more than 20 country affiliates in NEC Group. He has broad experiences and achievements in Corporate Strategy, Business Planning and Human Resources including numbers of corporate reorganizations during his over 30 years of service in NEC Corporation since his graduation from the Faculty of Law in Kyoto University.
