Dealing with heavy workloads

The Central Process Unit at Lancashire Police issue around 6,500 notices of intended prosecution every month in traffic enforcement. These include safety camera offences, officer-issued fines, NDORS courses and prosecutions.

Public were only able to review the evidence of an offence by contacting staff by phone, letter or email. This meant a heavy workload for staff and a slower service for the public.

Public Access Software

Lancashire Police introduced our Public Access Software (PAS) so evidence of an alleged offence could be reviewed by the public online, from any device, before being signed and returned.
