New Public Safety Account Director at Northgate

Neil Chivers has been appointed as Account Director – Public Safety with Northgate Public Services, with responsibility for police forces in the Eastern Region.
He will be acting as a ‘bridge’ between forces representatives from the Eastern region and Northgate, supporting Northgate’s product development and wider capabilities from a sales engagement perspective.
Neil is an experienced sales professional who has worked for over 20 years in and within the public sector.
Neil joins Northgate from UNIT4 Business Software where he led the ERP public sector services business, reporting to the board of directors with sector P&L responsibilities. His portfolio spanned both local and central government and public safety organisations. .Prior to UNIT4, Neil worked at Xantura Limited and also SunGard Public Sector (now Capita). At Xantura he was a Director for five years with responsibility for sales and solutions engagement.
Neil has led a number of high profile data sharing engagements with local government and central government agencies. He also established a number of successful strategic partnerships.
Neil spent five years leading a high profile performance and business intelligence national project funded by the Department for Work and Pensions. The solution was designed for, and implemented to, 260 local authorities within 18 months and received numerous industry awards.
Before joining the private sector, Neil worked at King's Lynn and West Norfolk Borough Council, finishing as Revenues and Benefits manager.
