The news that Northgate has planned further investment to deliver an additional 150 jobs in County Mayo, Ireland was revealed by Northgate’s Executive Director, Joe Bradley, at a conference in Galway this week on 27 November, attended by 140 recognised health care leaders nationally and internationally.

The conference, entitled ‘Partnership and Innovation – The Winning Combination’, was organised by the West/North West Hospitals Group and the National University of Ireland, Galway.

Northgate has already created 100 local jobs in the award winning Newborn Hearing Screening Service with the rollout to all 20 Maternity Units in Ireland. Now, over 75,000 babies a year receive a hearing screening test, thanks to the Health Services Executive and Northgate Public Services (NPS).

Northgate’s future planned investment in Ireland to support Public Services transformation is expected to create another 150 jobs over the next three years. The roles will be focused on Northgate’s services, including IT and transactional services, as well as document management services and an extension to the health services already in place.

Northgate recognises the demanding financial challenges to the public sector in Ireland and is fully committed to supporting Public Services transformation in Ireland. It welcomes the opportunity to share its international experience to deliver more for less.

Joe Bradley stated: “The creation of an additional 150 jobs is good news for the country and will provide a boost for the Irish economy over time, as well as enhancing Northgate’s contribution to providing key public sector services in Ireland.”

Northgate currently provides solutions and services to over 50% of hospitals in Ireland, a number of leading local authorities and central government departments.
