Northgate Public Services Eyes Digital Government Growth with New Hire
27 June 2016
Northgate Public Services has hired Tina Whitley to become its first Executive Director for Government and Housing Solutions, a new position created to meet the fast evolving needs of the public sector.
Whitley, formerly Managing Director for Education and Libraries software at Capita, will report directly into CEO Dave Meaden as part of the Executive Committee from July 11th. She will head up the international and domestic solutions business in government and housing, including work on revenues and benefits, social care, and land and property.
Dave Meaden, Chief Executive of Northgate Public Services, said:
“Government at every level is facing unprecedented challenges. Every day we are helping our austerity-tested clients protect the vulnerable, reduce fraud, improve their efficiency and identify and prioritise those most in need.
“At the same time the digital agenda is advancing at a fantastic rate. Our role is to re-evaluate traditional market approaches, improve what can be improved and otherwise build entirely new innovations that will help shape the public sector’s answers for years to come. We’re pleased to welcome someone with Tina’s deep experience of working with government and directing large digital teams, as we work on creating the next generation of government services and solutions.”
Tina Whitley, NPS’ new Executive Director for Government and Housing Solutions, said:
“Our customers are facing an unprecedented period of change as they work towards delivering better and more effective services for their citizens.
“Working in partnership with them, we are addressing the pivotal challenges facing public services in this era of austerity budgets. I am delighted to be joining Northgate Public Services, where I feel I can make a significant contribution at this crucial time.”
Whitley will be bringing together a number of highly successful teams that include housing, where NPS is the market leader for UK housing software and has a significant presence in Canada and Australia, and local government, where the company works with almost every authority in the UK.
