Are you ready for Pay to Stay?
A key part of the Housing & Planning Act 2016, the Pay to Stay scheme comes into effect in April 2017. This poses a challenge for housing providers and we can help take the pressure off.
Matching rent to income
To start charging new rent levels, providers will need to capture tenancy income data from December 2016. The NPS Housing Income module enables you to start recording this data now, including from multiple income sources.
NPS Housing can then identify tenancies that are above the Pay to Stay threshold and recalculate rent by automatically applying government thresholds and tapers. It maintains data quality, eliminates re-keying and makes information available to all users.
We also offer a cloud-based solution for assessing eligibility for higher rents. Data is extracted from any housing system and relevant tenants invited to complete an assessment and submit evidence online. The solution allows for assisted telephone interviews and the ability to send supporting evidence by post. It will help you capture and validate data, confirm eligibility and update your housing system to support rent changes.
We also offer a fully managed service for the entire process including tenant contact, the collection and uploading of hard copy evidence and assisted telephone interviews.
