CONNECT: Public engagement
CONNECT: Public engagement is a fully integrated website that enables the police, the public and agencies to engage efficiently and effectively online. Members of the public can report information which is then automatically sent to the CONNECT platform and created as a crime, non-crime incident or intelligence. The police can also issue updates to victims within the standard Investigation tasks and actions, helping to meet the Code of Practice for Victims of Crime. If a reported incident requires police attendance at a prearranged time, Public Engagement also supports self-service appointments. When integrated with CONNECT: Decision Support, which allows the operator to apply the THRIVE model, it ensures the most appropriate response to all incidents.
