Innovative solutions for the challenges ahead.
Northgate Public Services assists local authorities to support children and families through targeted early intervention, improved safeguarding and better integration, collaboration and personalisation.
Changing landscapes and requirements set out in the Munro Review, Working Together Guidance, Children and Families Act, Social Services & Well-being (Wales) Act and the ‘Getting it Right for Every Child’ approach in Scotland have required local authorities to think differently about how they protect and care for children and families.
Critical to managing this change is a shifting focus towards prevention of abuse and neglect. Reacting to crises means the less efficient use of resources to support the safeguarding and wellbeing of children and young people in the community.
It’s important to establish collaborative working relationships across agencies including health, housing, police, voluntary organisations and other local partners to achieve a more effective, efficient and personalised service.
